Spotify Music is a reliable audio streaming service to enjoy all music and podcasts that you love. If you’re a Roku user, you download and access the Spotify channel officially from the Roku channel store. You can use this app either as a free or paid version. By unlocking the premium account, you can stream unlimited songs and playlists in HD quality and without any advertisements.
Earlier, the Spotify app was removed from the Roku channel store due to unknown reasons. However, the app returned to the Roku store with an improved version along with a large catalog of more than 30 million songs.
How to Add Spotify Channel on Roku?
Spotify Music is officially available on the Roku Channel Store. You can download the app directly on your device.
Step 1: Launch your Roku and navigate to Streaming Channels section.
Step 2: Use the search bar to find the Spotify Music app.
Step 3: From the search results, select the Spotify app and click Add Channel to install the app.
Step 4: Once added, launch it, select LOG IN and a verification PIN will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Now, you need to pair the Spotify app with the computer where you have logged into the Spotify account. Visit spotify.com/pair on your computer
Step 6: Sign in to your Spotify account if you’re signed out and enter the PIN displayed on the screen.
Step 7: Finally, click PAIR to link the app with your Spotify account.
Add Spotify to Roku using Roku Mobile App
Roku users can also use Roku Mobile app on their Android or iOS device to install Spotify app on your streaming device.
Step 1: Open the Roku Mobile app on your paired device.
Step 2: Select your Roku device and then, click the Channels section.
Step 3: Search for the Spotify app and download it by clicking add channel on its description page.
Step 4: Once added, launch your Roku device and then the added app will appear on the main screen.
The same method works on all Roku models. If you can’t find Spotify on the Roku home page or if the Spotify app is not working on Roku, ensure that your Roku is updated to the latest version (Settings -> System -> System update).
